Banners, inserts and mailers promoting Wayzata Children’s Clinic’s newest location in Maple Grove.
Challenge
Wayzata Children’s Clinic has been serving families in the western suburbs of Minneapolis for over 45 years. With their friendly service-focused business model, they were experiencing enough growth to open a new clinic location in Maple Grove. Their marketing department recognized a need to communicate this using a modern tone, and through multiple media channels.
Solution
Drawing on the clinic’s warm wood tone interior textures and the long-standing clinic logo colors, a new Mondrian-styled visual language using modular block architecture was developed. This modular system allows for efficient organization of various messaging across various-sized media, all while conveying a consistent look that draws on the original logo block icon image. New photography of the clinic interior, exterior and Health Providers were added to give patients a feel for what to expect before their first visit. A new tagline logo lock-up was created to be used consistently across all material, “The best care in your neighborhood” conveying the warm and friendly tone all the clinics are known for. Images and designs were created for mailers, on-site banners, social media and community publications.
Result
Wayzata Children’s Clinic has seen a steady increase in numbers of new patients and referrals since opening their new clinic location, with consistent communication across multiple mediums.

Challenge
Famous Dave’s needed signage to remind guests that their take-out ribs and wings would be the hit of the party during football Playoff and Super Bowl season.
Solution
Using a visual style that fit in with their restaurant language of authentic neighborhood barbecue, and drawing on classic football references and sports themed copy, signage was created to get customer’s attention and get them to act. To-go-bag-carrying football player conveys the message in a memorable, ownable way.
Result
Website traffic and sales of take-out went up during football party season with memorable signage that was unmistakably Famous Dave’s.

Course offerings viewbook gives overviews of the school and degree programs using a clean, contemporary visual language that is ownable and targets GU/MSB’s core market.
Challenge
GU/MSB College needed a refreshed course viewbook that reflected their new curriculum and that would be relatable to their core market: early 20’s men and women that are tech-saavy and very busy.
Solution
GU/MSB College has a contemporary learning system that is not traditional: flipped classrooms, flexible scheduling, real world experience and an iPad-centered curriculum. These elements are all conveyed in the viewbook using clean, contemporary color pallets and architectures that compliment the school’s philosophy. Information is organized according to program, using appropriate lifestyle photography, sub-headline diamond devices, and testimonial quotes. Tiled-diamond architectural elements convey a sense of steps available to students in order to achieve success, as well as reference the graduation hat brand mark of GU/MSB.
Result
GU/MSB reports that the new view book has been well received by new and prospective students, giving the school added inquiries and increased enrollment in programs.

Challenge
Safety Rail Company has a unique product and service-oriented process to help clients navigate OSHA requirements to install safety railing on building rooftops. SRC needed a clear, concise and contemporary looking brochure to educate prospective customers on what they offer, and to stand out from the competition.
Solution
Using a color scheme from their existing brandmark, an ownable look was created using angled trapezoid architectural elements that reference standard safety caution tape. Brand tagline “Your Partner at Every Step” speaks to customer service as well as the protection attributes of their products. Photography style uses an effect that highlights only the rail products in color for a clean look that fits well with the brand.
Result
Business for Safety Rail Company jumped over 150% after using the brochure for just 8 weeks. Clients of SRC report that a main contributing factor to contract with them was their clear and professional image.

Challenge
SRC needed a short, 2 minute video to send to prospective clients that would highlight their product line as well as drive interest and action to buy.
Solution
Video starts with a 2D animation sequence that defines problems with industry-standard safety devices, then directly leads into how SRC products are different: safer, easier to install and more cost efficient. Simple Ken-Burns effects were used with existing client photography to keep production costs down. Voiceover content was created to highlight SRC's products as well as their service and planning capabilities.
Result
SRC reports that the video has been a great way to quickly describe to clients what they offer, in a format that is concise, flexible and time-efficient. Video has lead to new interest with SRC’s clients, as well as increased sales.

Challenge
To drive interest and increase business, PFH needed a short video to give potential new clients an idea of the look and feel of the salon and services available.
Solution
A documentary-style walkthrough of the salon by the owner gives clients a personal introduction, so that they can feel comfortable and familiar before their first visit. 1st-person point of view footage of services conveys high-end quality and the energy PFH has with their clients. Out-takes footage at the end of the video creates a warm, humorous connection.
Result
With hundreds of views in its first month, the video has been a great way for PFH to market the salon to new clients, resulting in a big increase in business. Clients have mentioned that they feel they already have been to the salon even before their first visit.

Ommotion Yoga Studio needed a set of inspiring cards that could be used as postcards or take-aways for its clients. A message and tone was needed to remind clients why they come to yoga classes, and the benefits obtained through the practice.
Solution
Photography art direction and design concept included inspiring poses and headlines that speak to yoga ideals while communicating the idea to “go in” oneself (and the studio) in order to attain yoga benefits.
Result
Clients regularly comment on how the imagery and messaging inspire them to attend classes more often, and tell others about the studio.

Challenge
In order to increase enrollment in its programs, Minnesota School of Cosmetology needed an attention getting mailer to go out to prospective students that conveyed a tone that plays to the school’s strengths.
Solution
Tone of the design, with its sleek model photography, clean typefaces and bokeh-infused lighting conveys that MSC is a contemporary, fashion and trend-oriented place of learning. Architecture uses clean lines and sleek, minimalistic shapes that relate to fashion industry. Headline conveys a positive association to an empowering, take-action statement.
Result
Response to the mailers has been strong with prospective students, resulting in a positive effect on enrollment numbers.
